M. Cato. AR Denarius, 89 BC. Geta-Dacian imitation (?), copying M. Cato. Obv. Female draped bust right; behind; below, M·CAT[O]. Rev. Victory seated right, holding patera and palm branch; in exergue, VICTRIX (TR ligate). Cr. 343/1b (for prototype). AR. 3.71 g. 18.50 mm. Very interesting imitation, apparently unpublished. Nicely toned. Die swift, otherwise. EF.
