Andronicus II Palaeologus, with Michael IX (1295-1320). AV (EL) Hyperpyron Nomisma, Constantinople mint, c. 1303-1320 AD. Obv. Half-lenght figure of the Theotokos, orans, within city walls with three towers. Rev. Christ standing facing, crowning Michael and Andronicus kneeling to left and right, respectively. Sear 2396; Grierson 1293; Bendall, Sigla, 186. AV (EL). 3.84 g. 24.00 mm. A handsome example, weak strike in highest point. VF.
