Faustina II, wife of Marcus Aurelius (died 176 AD). AE As. Struck under Marcus Aurelius. Obv. FAVSTINA AVGVSTA. Diademed and draped bust right. Rev. TEMPOR FELIC, SC. Faustina standing left between four girls; she holds two infants in her arms. RIC III (M. Aurel.) 1676; C. 225. AE. 11.60 g. 26.00 mm. Scarce. Superb example with deep green patina. Gently cleaned, otherwise virtually as struck. Good EF.
