Faustina II, wife of Marcus Aurelius (died 176 AD). AR Denarius. Struck under M. Aurelius. Obv. FAVSTINA AVGVSTA. Diademed and draped bust right. Rev. IVNONI REGINAE. Juno veiled, seated left, holding patera and sceptre; at her feet, peacock. RIC III (M. Aur.) 698; C. 145. AR. 3.23 g. 19.50 mm. A superb example. Lovely delicate portrait. Enchanting golden tone, with iridescent hues. From a slightly worn reverse die, otherwise. good EF/EF.
