C. Mamilius Limetanus. AR Denarius serratus, 82 BC. Obv. Draped bust of Mercury right, wearing winged petasus, caduceus over left shoulder; behind, control-letter. Rev. C·MAMIL-LIMETAN (TA ligate). Ulysses standing right, holding staff and extending his right hand to his dog Argus. Cr. 362/1; B. (Mamilia) 6. AR. 3.82 g. 20.00 mm. Sound metal and broad flan. Brilliant, superb and lightly toned, with iridescent hues. Insignificant graffiti on obverse and minor area of flatness on reverse, otherwise. EF.
