Anonymous AR Didrachm, Rome mint, c. 230 - 226 BC. Obv. Helmeted head of Mars right; club to left. Rev. Horse on ground line rearing right; club above, ROMA below. Cr. 27/1; HN Italy 314. AR. 6.62 g. 19.00 mm. RR. Very rare. Sound metal. A very attractive example, perfectly centred, brilliant and nicely toned, with handsome golden highlights. From a slightly worn reverse die, otherwise. about EF.
