Constantius II as Caesar (324-337). AR Miliarense, Constantinople mint, 330-335. Obv. FL IVL CONSTANTIVS [NOB C] Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust riht. Rev. CONSTANTIVS CAESAR. Four standards; •CONSЄ in exergue. RIC VII - (cf.56); RIC lists only •CONSI• and marks in error the bust type B5 instead of B4. AR. 3.58 g. 22.50 mm. RRR. Extremely rare and apparently unpublished. Superb portrait and enchanting golden tone. Flan broken, with a fragment missing, otherwise. EF.
