Manuel I Comnenus (1143-1180). Lot of two (2) BI Aspron Trachy. Constantinople mint. Struck circa 1160-1164. Obv. MP - ΘΥ. The Theotokos seated facing on throne, holding head of Holy Infant on lap. Rev. ΜΑΝUΗΛ [ΔECΠΟΤΗ]. Manuel standing facing, holding labarum and globus with patriarchal cross. D.O. 12a; Sear 1964. AE. One has a full broad flan: 32 mm and 3.81 g.
The other has a small (cut?) flan: 21 mm and 1.12 g. VF.
