Philip II as Caesar (244-246). AE Sestertius, 244-246 AD. Obv. M IVL PHILIPPVS CAES. Draped bust right, head bare. Rev. PRINCIPI IVVENT SC. Philip II standing left, holding globe and reversed spear. RIC IV 256. AE. 21.01 g. 32.00 mm. A very attractive example. Minor traces of smoothing. Green-brown patina with light earthen dusting. Good VF.
