Drusus Julius Caesar became heir to the Roman Empire - following the death of his adoptive brother Germanicus in AD 19. But Drusus was poisoned only 37 years old by his wife Livilla - who had been seduced by the chief of the praetorian guard, Sejanus - who himself wanted to become the next emperor. This coin was issued just before Drusus died.
