Great metal and full weight. A handsome example, brilliant and lightly toned, with a hint of iridescence. A little of centre, otherwise. good VF. Minted in Massalia for payment of troops moving against Q. Sertorius in Spain. The first of a series of coinages in Roman numismatics showing a pure military connotation. Rare. Perfectly centred, lustrous and superb.
