Star (first) series. AE Quadrans, c. 206-195 BC. Obv. Head of Hercules right, wearing lion's skin; behind, three pellets. Rev. ROMA. Prow right; before, eight rayed star and below, three pellets. Cr. 196/4. AE. 6.35 g. 18.50 mm. RR. Very rare and in excellent condition for issue. Uneven olive green patina, with lighter spots. VF. Only two specimens in Paris.
