Faustina II, wife of Marcus Aurelius (died 176 AD). AE As. Struck under Marcus Aurelius, 161-176 AD. Obv. FAVSTINA AVGVSTA. Draped bust right, with hair bound down behind head. Rev. LAETITIA SC. Laetitia standing left, holding wreath and sceptre. RIC III (M. Aur.) 1655; C. 151. AE. 11.82 g. 26.00 mm. Scarce. A superb example, with a delicate expressive unusual portrait. Enchanting untouched turquoise patina. Good VF.
