Septimius Severus, with Caracalla and Julia Domna (193-211). AE 20 mm. Carrhae mint, Mesopotamia. Obv. AYPH KA[.]KOΛ. Laureate head of Septimius Severus, on the left, facing laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla, on the right. Rev. [AY]P KAP KOΛ [MHT] Draped bust of Julia Domna right, with crescent set on stone before. Apparently unlisted in the standard references. AE. 5.15 g. 20.00 mm. RRR. Excessively rare and fascinating dynastic issue. Green brown patina. VF.
