Faustina II, wife of Marcus Aurelius (died 176 AD). AR Denarius, struck under Antoninus Pius, 147-150 AD. Obv. FAVSTINAE AVG PII AVG F. Draped bust right. Rev. VENVS. Venus standing facing, head left, holding apple and dolphin-entwined rudder. RIC III (Ant. Pius) 517a. AR. 3.14 g. 18.00 mm. Enchanting portrait. Superb bluish iridescent tone. Minor area of very slight roughness on reverse, otherwise EF.
