Warrior holding spear and reins in biga right, assists togate figure to mount into the chariot; below horses, scorpion. In exergue, L. FARSVLEI. Cr. 392/1a; B. 1. AR. 3.81 g. 18.50 mm. A choice example of this fascinating issue. Enchanting light cabinet tone with iridescent and golden hues. Very minor area of weakness on exergue, otherwise EF.
