Lucius Caesius. AR Denarius, 112-111 BC. Obv. Youthful bust of Vejovis left, seen from behind, holding thunderbolt in upraised right hand; in right field, ROMA in monogram. Rev. Lares Praestites seated right, each holding staff in left hand; between them, dog; above, bust of Vulcan with tongues over shoulder; LA on left, ER on right, L. CAESI in exergue. Cr. 298/1. B. 1. AR. 3.83 g. 20.50 mm. An attractive example, well centred on a broad flan and nicely toned. Good VF/VF.
