Vima Takto 'Soter Megas' (ca. 80-90 AD). AE Tetradrachm. Obv. Bust of Miiro right, seven rays emanating from head, wearing diadem with ribbons to left, and cloak, filleted arrow in raised right hand; tamgha with crossbar and three prongs to left, dotted border. Rev. ΒΑCΙΛΕΥC ΒΑCΙΛΕΩΝ CΩΤΗΡ ΜΕΓΑC, king on horseback right, wearing soft Iranian cap with long diadem ribbons, nomad jacket, and trousers, pickaxe in raised right hand; tamgha with three prongs and crossbar to lower right. Mitchiner 2928-2963; ANS Kushan 177-204. AE. 8.32 g. 21 mm. Good VF / About EF. This coin type is based on the Attic standard copper didrachm or its reduced Indian standard tetradrachm counterpart. It circulated widely across Bactria, the Kabul Valley, Gandhara, and the Punjab region, and was most likely struck in Begram.
