Nero (54-68). AE Semis, Barbaric imitation of Lugdunum mint, 68 AD. Obv. [NE]RO CIAV CAESAR (C retrograde) AVG GERM. Bare head left. Rev. CER O[VI]NO ROM CON(N retrograde). Table seen from three-quarter angle, bearing urn and wreath, round shield resting against table leg; SC in exergue. Cf. RIC I (2nd ed.) 487; cf. CGB.FR, MONNAIES,16, 2002, lot 430 (same obv. die). AE. 4.36 g. 21.00 mm. R. Rare and very interesting. Traces of smoothing. Emerald green patina, with brown spots. VF.
