Constans II (641-668). Lead Seal, 659 - 668 AD. Obv. The Virgin, nimbate, standing facing, holding a medallion of Christ against her chest; a cross in each field. Rev. Heraclius, Constans II and Constantine IV, standing facing; Constans II wears a helmet and long beard, the two sons are beardless and wear crowns, and all are holding a globus cruciger. Cf. Zacos I 20a var.(Heraclius, Constans II, Constantine IV, and Tiberius on reverse). PB. 22.47 g. 28.50 mm. R. Rare and in exceptional condition. Lovely earthen green grey patina. About EF.
